Abstract
This bulletin was compiled by the Monetary Policy and Research Division (MPRD) of the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA). It reviews developments in the domestic and international economy during the first quarter of 2017. The publication includes analyses of output, inflation, commodity prices, public finance, money and banking, external trade, and recent economic developments. The analyses are based on information obtained from government authorities, commercial banks, public enterprises, and private sector sources available as of 6 June 2017.
