Quarterly economic bulletin : March 2008 : volume xiv, number 1

Abstract

This Bulletin is compiled by the Economic Research and Statistics Division (ERSD) of the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA). It covers developments in the domestic economy during the first quarter of 2008. The analyses are based on information provided by relevant government authorities, commercial banks operating in the country, public enterprises and other private sector sources, as at 15th June 2008. Where actual data is not readily available, estimates have been made by ERSD based on available information. The timely receipt of data is therefore crucial to the compilation of this publication and the analysis contained herein.
