Abstract
This bulletin was compiled by the Monetary Policy and Research Division (MPRD) of the Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA). It provides an overview of developments in the Maldivian economy during the first quarter of 2010. The analysis is based on information obtained from government authorities, commercial banks, public enterprises, and private sector sources available up to the end of May 2010. Where actual data were unavailable, estimates were prepared by MPRD. The publication serves as a source of economic and financial information for policymakers, researchers, and the public.

Quarterly publication issued by the Maldives Monetary Authority presenting economic and financial developments in the Maldives. Volume XVI, Number 1 covers the first quarter of 2010 and includes analyses of monetary, fiscal, external sector, and real sector developments based on data collected from public and private institutions.
