M. Kolhufushi towards sustainability and resilience : an urban contextual study and strategic proposals

Abstract

This booklet is an anthology of analysis of the Urban Contextual study & development intervention of the island M. Kolhufushi. The analysis for this study has been done from 27th of 2016 to 4th of March 2016 examining several aspects of the entire island. This study is part of Architectural Design Project 5, which is to design a disaster relief project for sustainability. Along with the local profile of the island of Kolhufushi, a previously tsunami hit low lying island of the Maldives, the booklet presents a local strategy map for the island that incorporates action plans for a sustainable and resilient community.
